Your own CSS — extra rules, applied only in dark mode, added last so they win. For the one thing on your site the engine cannot know about.
Counting — two numbers a day: dark and light. No addresses, no pages, no identifiers, no cookie of ours, and nothing leaves your database. Sixty days are kept. Off until you switch it on.
When the plugin is removed — off by default, so deleting the plugin never destroys your settings by accident. Deactivating never deletes anything either way.
