Terms of Service

These terms govern every purchase from, and every use of, traslatability.com and the plugins sold on it. They are written to be read, not skimmed past; where a rule has a reason, the reason is given.

Who we are

Traslatability is a software business based at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. You can reach us through the contact page. “We”, “us” and “our” refer to Traslatability; “you” refers to the person or organisation buying or using a plugin.

What you are buying

A purchase gives you a copy of the plugin, a licence key, and — for the period your plan covers — updates delivered to your WordPress dashboard and support from us. The plugin software itself is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, the same licence WordPress uses. That means you may inspect, modify and redistribute the code. What your purchase adds on top of the GPL is our service: the licence key, the automatic updates, the support, and access to your account.

Licence keys and activations

• Each plan allows a stated number of production domains. A domain uses one activation when you enter your key in the plugin on that site.
• Local, development and staging installations do not count. Specifically: localhost, private IP addresses, domains ending in .test, .local or .localhost, and subdomains beginning with staging. or dev. are free and unlimited.
• You may move an activation between domains at any time from your account. There is no waiting period and no need to contact us.
• Keys are issued to you or your organisation and may be used on sites you build for clients. They may not be resold, shared publicly or bundled into another product.

Yearly plans

Yearly plans include updates and support for twelve months and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account; cancelling stops the next charge and your licence stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, we retry it; if it cannot be collected, the licence lapses at the end of the paid period.

Lifetime plans

A lifetime plan is a single payment that includes updates and support for as long as we publish the plugin. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not of the purchaser. If we ever discontinue a plugin we will say so on its page at least twelve months in advance, and the final version will continue to work and remain downloadable from your account.

When a licence lapses

A lapsed licence stops updates and support. It never disables a feature, removes data, or interferes with a live site. You may keep using the version you have indefinitely. Renewing at any later date restores updates and support from that point.

Updates

Updates are delivered through the standard WordPress update mechanism and appear on your Plugins screen. We release fixes and improvements on our own schedule and keep every plugin compatible with current WordPress and, where relevant, WooCommerce releases. We test against the WordPress versions stated on each plugin’s page.

Support

Support covers installing, configuring and using the plugin as documented, and fixing defects in it. It is provided by email and through the support area of your account, in English, by the developers who maintain the plugin. Support does not cover custom development, theme or third-party plugin conflicts beyond identifying them, or server administration. We aim to answer every request, and to answer it properly rather than quickly.

Refunds

Every first purchase of a plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, described in full in our refund policy. In short: if the plugin does not do what you needed, tell us within 30 days and we refund the purchase.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Where tax applies to your purchase it is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay. An invoice for every payment is available in your account.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed without your permission. You may delete your account by writing to us; we will close it and remove your personal data as described in our privacy policy, retaining only what tax law requires us to keep.

Acceptable use

You may not use our website, plugins or services to break the law, to attack or overload our systems, to circumvent licence checks for the purpose of obtaining services you have not paid for, or to misrepresent our plugins as your own. We may suspend accounts that do.

Warranties and liability

We build our plugins with care and test them before release, but software is never guaranteed to be free of defects. The plugins are provided under the GPL “as is” to the extent that licence requires. Our service commitments to you are the ones described on this page. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. A change that materially affects an existing subscription takes effect at its next renewal, and we will tell you about it by email before then.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep any protection given by the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
