1.12.1

  • Fixed Page caches are emptied after an update even where nobody opens wp-admin. 1.12.0 did it only on the first wp-admin screen someone who can edit posts opened, so after an automatic update on a site nobody signs in to, cached pages kept the old layout until they expired. WordPress's scheduled tasks now do it there, usually within the hour, and never while a visitor's page is loading.
  • Fixed Switching the plugin off and on again reaches cached pages. Switching it off on a site now empties your page cache, so the buttons and share tags go from cached pages at once, and switching it on again empties it once more, so pages cached while it was off get them back. Before, both waited for the cache to expire. Switched off for a whole network, sites keep their cached pages until they expire, as before.

1.12.0

  • New Ask an AI about this page. Buttons for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Grok open the assistant in a new tab, asking it to summarise the page. Choose them under Networks, Ask an AI; none is on until you do, and the Dashboard offers them once. They sit in a row of their own under the share buttons or at the end of the share row, and the question is yours to change with {title} and {url}. Nothing is loaded from these services and nothing is sent until a reader presses one; presses are counted like shares.
  • Improved Pages with the pinned bar do less work. The bar's height and the room it leaves at the foot of the window are now written into the page's head from your settings, instead of being worked out by style rules the browser rechecked on every change to the page. The bar, and our other plugins' buttons above it, sit exactly where they did. Page caches are emptied once after the update, on the first wp-admin screen someone who can edit posts opens (and from 1.12.1 by WordPress's scheduled tasks on a site where nobody does), so no cached page keeps the old layout.
  • Improved The plugin's screens load less. WordPress's colour picker and media library now load only on the Networks screen, the one with a colour and a picture to choose.
  • Improved Faster pages on sites in Spanish or French. The translations now also ship as PHP files, which WordPress 6.5 and later reads from PHP's code cache instead of reading the translation file again on every page. Measured on a French site with all fifteen of our plugins: 6.3 ms and 0.8 MB of memory less on every request. Older WordPress reads the translations as before.
  • Improved Opening the plugin's screens asks less of your server. To make switching tabs instant, the plugin loads its other screens in the background while you read the first one. It now loads at most four, the plugin's own tabs first, and none while the browser tab is in the background; a tab past the fourth loads as your pointer reaches it.
  • Fixed No "deprecated" notice from Cloudflare's plugin when you save. With WP_DEBUG on and a current version of Cloudflare's plugin, emptying its cache printed a deprecation notice, which could stop a save from returning to its screen. Cloudflare is now asked under its current name, and the old one only on older copies.
  • Fixed Notes that should be hidden stay hidden. A hint or note a screen had hidden could still show, because the style that lays hints out outranked the browser's own rule for hidden things. Hidden things on the plugin's screens now always stay hidden.

  • New Their own networks for the floating rail and the pinned bar. On Display, the rail and the bar can each keep the Networks screen's list or have one of their own, with the same tick list and arrows. Suggested for phones fills the bar with WhatsApp, Copy link and More in one press, while the row under the post keeps its own networks.
  • Improved The Networks screen says when a list is not theirs. It notes when the rail or the bar has its own networks, and Copy confirmation stays available while either of them uses Copy link or More.
  • Improved Cached pages show your changes at once. Saving anything visitors see now empties your page cache: the networks, the rail's and the bar's lists, the style, where the buttons go and on which pages. Changes to the Open Graph tags and follow buttons already did. The uninstall setting and the Dashboard's suggestion empty nothing.
  • Fixed Page caches are emptied only as far as a change needs. With LiteSpeed Cache, a save that emptied your page cache pressed its Purge All, which also deletes its combined CSS and JS files, empties the object cache and PHP's code cache, clears Cloudflare where LiteSpeed is set to, and leaves "Purged all caches successfully." on your next screen. It now empties LiteSpeed's cached pages only. On a network, WP Super Cache is emptied for this site alone, where it emptied every site's (except a save on the main site of a network in subfolders, whose cached pages hold the other sites', and WP Super Cache's legacy copies, which it always clears for every site).

  • Fixed The Follow screen once a profile is saved. Add a profile put the new row inside the preview's first button, so clicking into it opened that profile in a new tab and the new profile was saved at the top. The arrows could not move a profile, and Add was not marked full at twenty. All of these work now.
  • Fixed An address in another alphabet under Excluded addresses now leaves out that page, and nothing else. Pasted from the browser, an address such as /контакты/ was saved as //, which hid the share buttons on your front page instead, and a section such as /блог/ as //, which hid them on every page. Addresses are now kept as pasted and match however the browser writes their letters. A line saved before keeps doing what it did: if Excluded addresses holds /, // or //* that you did not mean, delete it and paste the address again.

  • New Follow buttons. A new Follow screen keeps links to your own profiles on Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, a WhatsApp channel, Spotify, Twitch, GitHub, RSS and email. Place them with the Follow Buttons block, the [trasl_follow] shortcode or a template tag, or under the share buttons below posts. They are plain links in any of the twelve styles, the marks are drawn into the page so nothing is loaded from another site, and Mastodon links carry rel="me". Nothing shows until you add a profile.

  • New Title, summary and picture for shared pages. The plugin can now add Open Graph and X card tags to your pages, so Facebook, X and other apps show a shared page's title, its excerpt and its featured image, or your Site Icon when it has none. Nothing is taken from the text of a post, so a post with no excerpt is shared without a summary until you fill in its Excerpt box. It is on for new sites, under Open Graph Tags on the Networks screen, and adds nothing while one of nine well-known SEO plugins, Yoast SEO and Rank Math among them, is active, or on a page where your theme or another plugin already writes these tags in the page head.
  • Changed Sites that already had the plugin are asked before the tags go on. On an existing site the tags stay off, so your shared pages look as they did, and unless one of those SEO plugins is active the Dashboard now suggests them: Add Open Graph tags turns them on, and No thanks hides the suggestion. You can change it under Open Graph Tags on the Networks screen at any time.
  • Fixed Share presses are counted for each visitor on servers that write addresses the IPv6 way. Some servers write a visitor's IPv4 address the IPv6 way, as ::ffff:203.0.113.7, and it is now read as 203.0.113.7 however it is written. On such a server behind Cloudflare or a proxy of your own, every visitor was taken for the proxy and shared its limit of sixty counted presses a minute, so on a busy site some presses went uncounted; each visitor now has a limit of their own.

  • New How often each post was shared, in your Posts, Pages and Products lists. A new Shares column shows how many times each post's share buttons were pressed and, underneath, the three networks pressed most, such as "Facebook 12, X 4, Copy link 3". Press the column's heading to sort the list by it, most shared first, and open a post to see every network and its count in its Share buttons box.
  • Changed The Shares column appears in your lists on its own. It is there on the Posts, Pages and Products lists, and on the list of any other public content, whenever Count button presses on the Networks screen is on, which it is unless you have switched it off. To hide it, untick Shares under Screen Options at the top of the list.

  • Fixed The share shortcode takes "twitter" and no longer shows nothing over a typo. A shortcode naming only networks the plugin does not know, a single misspelt name say, left an empty space, and "twitter" was one of those names. Now "twitter" gives the X button, any other name the plugin does not know is left out, and when none of the names is one it knows, the networks chosen in the settings are shown. Anyone who can edit posts sees a boxed note above the buttons naming what was left out; visitors see only the buttons.
  • Fixed Lucky Wheel's launcher no longer covers the floating share buttons. When the prize wheel's launcher sits in the middle of the same side of the window as the Floating rail, it now steps in beside the rail instead of sitting over its middle buttons, which could not be pressed. Lucky Wheel needs its own update of the same day for this.
  • Fixed Keyboard users no longer tab onto links hidden under the pinned share bar. In current browsers, moving through a page with the Tab key now brings each link up clear of the bar at the bottom of the window, on desktop and on phones, instead of leaving it out of sight underneath.
  • Fixed Copy link keeps a keyboard visitor's place. On sites where the browser does not allow direct clipboard access, such as sites served over plain http, pressing Copy link from the keyboard dropped the visitor back to the start of the page. They now stay on the Copy link button.
  • Fixed "Link copied" now goes where screen readers look for it, from the first copy. The status area the message is written into is on the page, empty, from the start and is cleared before each copy, which is what screen readers need to announce the first copy as well as later ones. It used to be made at the first copy with the words already in it.
  • Fixed With several of our plugins on one site, licensing and updates run on the newest licence code among them. That no longer depends on the order WordPress loads them in, with one exception: while the first of our plugins that WordPress loads (usually the alphabetically first) is on a release from before this one, its older code still serves all of them until that plugin is updated. An older plugin of ours on the same site can also no longer stop this plugin's admin screens loading.

  • Fixed Presses that were never counted. A press is reported to the site with a quiet background message, because the page is usually on its way to the network being shared to. Some browsers refuse to take that message, and the plugin then gave up instead of falling back to the ordinary request written underneath it, so the press never reached your counts. It falls back now.
  • Fixed Share counts are written the way your language writes numbers. A shortened count always used a full stop, so a French, Spanish or German shop read "1.2k" where the language asks for "1,2k", and the k and the M could not be translated at all. Spanish and French now read "1,2 k", and a count just under a million reads "1M" instead of "1,000k". You see this on the buttons where Show count on button is switched on, and on the Dashboard cards.
  • Fixed The Share Buttons block previews the post you are editing. In the editor the preview was built for no post at all, so the Pinterest button, which needs a picture, was missing from it and every count in it read zero. It now shows the post's own picture and its real numbers. On the plugin's default networks, with counts switched off, the preview looks as it did.
  • Fixed A failed activation no longer clears the licence key you typed. When the licence server could not be reached while you were activating, the Licence screen threw away the key and the list of sites using it, and asked you to go and find the key again. Only an answer from the server about the key itself changes what is stored now.
  • Fixed A key the licence server does not recognise can be replaced on the spot. When a key is reissued, or a licence is deleted, the notice on every admin page asks you to enter it again, but the Licence screen had locked the box and offered only "Deactivate this site". The box now stays open with the Activate button beside it, and the site count left over from the old key is no longer printed next to it.
  • New A "Check again" button on the Licence screen. Renew your licence, or have it put right by support, and one press picks that up instead of waiting for the next automatic check. If the check cannot be made, the screen says why and nothing is changed.
  • Fixed "Deactivate this site" and "Free" work with the key box empty. Neither of them reads that box, but pressing one was answered with "Enter your licence key first." and nothing happened. It caught the Free button beside each site on your licence every time, and "Deactivate this site" whenever the browser had not left the focus on it.
  • Fixed The Display screen no longer fights your scrolling. With a list of suggestions open under Specific pages or Excluded pages, pressing the browser's Back button left the page jumping to the top every time you tried to scroll. Screens you have moved away from now let go properly, so their search boxes and tick lists stop running in the background.
  • Improved A search you have just done is answered from the screen. On a site with more content than the plugin keeps in the browser, going back to a search you ran a moment ago under Specific pages or Excluded pages asked the server for it again. The answer is kept now while you stay on that screen.

  • Fixed No share buttons in your feed. Every post in your RSS or Atom feed carried the whole button block as bare, unstyled text, because a feed is sent without the stylesheet that makes the buttons look like buttons. Anybody reading your posts in a feed reader, or in an email built from your feed, saw that. Feeds and embeds are now left alone, whether the buttons come from the settings, the shortcode or the block.
  • Fixed A site left without its share table now builds one. The table that holds your share counts is made when the plugin is activated. An update installed over the top of the plugin is not an activation, and a network activation that runs out of time part-way through its list of sites never reaches the last of them, so a site could be left with nowhere to record a press and nothing that would ever ask again. Opening wp-admin now checks that the table is there and up to date, and builds it if it is not.
  • Fixed Most Shared Posts lists only posts that are published. A post you trashed or put back to draft was still listed among your most shared, with an edit link beside it, and still counted on the Posts card. Both now follow what is published. The Shares card is left as it was on purpose: it is every press this site has ever recorded, including presses on a post you have since taken down, so the two numbers are allowed to disagree.
  • Fixed Network activation sets up only the sites of the network you activated it on. On an installation running more than one network, switching the plugin on for one network also made the share table and wrote the settings on the other network's sites.
  • Fixed Deleting the plugin clears away share tables left behind by deleted sites. WordPress does not load a site's plugins when that site is deleted from Network Admin, so a site running this plugin on its own left its share table sitting in the database with nothing to say the table was ever ours. Deleting the plugin now finds those leftovers and drops them. A table goes only when the site it is named after belongs to no network any more and WordPress's own tables for that site have gone as well.
  • Fixed Pressing "Check again" looks for a new version straight away. When the site could not reach our server, every one of our plugins stood down for fifteen minutes, and "Check again" on the Updates screen could not get past that wait. It now clears it, so the check happens when you ask for it.
  • Fixed A title on Most Shared Posts that linked nowhere. Where the reader is not allowed to edit that particular post, which is something a role plugin can arrange for an editor, the edit link came out empty and the title linked back to the screen they were already on. Such a title is now plain text.
  • Improved Share counts on a blog listing are read in one query. With Show count on button switched on, a page of ten posts asked the database ten separate times, once under each post. The counts for the whole page are now read together, before the first post is drawn.
  • Improved The Dashboard opens with fewer database queries. It no longer reads your whole share table a second time for a number it already has, and the posts listed under Most Shared Posts are read together rather than one at a time.
  • Improved A long Excluded pages list no longer costs a query for each page on every view. On sites running WPML, every page named under Excluded pages was read separately each time the plugin worked out whether the buttons belong on the page being viewed. They are now read in one go.

  • Fixed Share buttons on the blog page and archives no longer pass on another visitor's tracking codes.
  • Fixed Turning off Enable share buttons turns them all off. Buttons added with the block, the shortcode or the template tag are hidden too, and quotes lose their Post this link.
  • Fixed Resetting share counts no longer shows a warning on sites whose object cache cannot clear one group.
  • Fixed A schedule that runs past midnight keeps to its days. In the Schedule panel, a Friday window from 22:00 to 02:00 now stays on until 02:00 on Saturday. It used to stop at midnight, and to come on between midnight and 02:00 early on Friday instead.

  • Improved Fewer database queries on every admin page. Each of our plugins checks its licence on every admin screen, to know whether to show the licence notice, and read its saved licence and its "Remind me later" flag with a query each. With the whole range installed that was thirty separate lookups on every admin page, most of them for rows that do not exist yet. They are now read together in one query (on WordPress 6.4 or later). Measured on a test site with all fifteen plugins: the WordPress Dashboard went from 41 queries of ours to 12.

  • Improved A download is made once, not twice. Pressing Export settings built the file twice: the admin's no-reload navigation fetched it first, found a file rather than a screen it could show, and then asked for it again the ordinary way. On a long list that was twice the wait, and twice the work for the server. Each download is now a single request. Measured in a browser: two requests per click before, one after.

1.6.12

  • Improved Pages with the buttons download less. The script and stylesheet visitors are sent are now minified: 16.6 KB became 6.2 KB compressed, 63% less, on every page that shows the buttons. The readable files stay in the plugin, and a minified copy is only ever sent while it was built from the file as it is now, so an update can never be hidden behind an old copy. With SCRIPT_DEBUG on, the readable files are sent, as WordPress does for its own. Checked by photographing the same pages both ways at two screen sizes: identical, pixel for pixel.

  • Fixed A hint on the Display screen about a clash that cannot happen. Under Exclude, a line said a place chosen under Display on could not be excluded, but this plugin's Display on has no places to choose. The hint is now shown only in plugins where that clash is possible.

  • New Four more button styles: Two-tone, Raised, Underline and Badge. Two-tone puts the mark on a block of the network's colour with the name beside it; Raised is a pale card with a hairline and a soft shadow; Underline is the name over a bar of the colour; Badge is the mark in a round coin with the name beside it. Like Stack, each prints only the mark on a brand colour and keeps the name in your theme's own text, so a name is as readable as the article under it. Twelve styles now, each drawn as itself in the picker.

  • Improved One update check for all of our plugins on a site, instead of one each. Every plugin of ours used to ask our server about updates separately — fifteen requests in a row on a site with the whole range, twice a day and every time you press "Check again". The first plugin asked now asks for all of them at once, and the rest read the answer. Measured on a site with all fifteen: fifteen requests became one, and the whole check took a third of a second. If our server refuses or cannot be reached, every plugin waits the same fifteen minutes before trying again, rather than each trying in turn.

1.6.8

  • Fixed Share buttons were hard to read in dark mode. A dark engine darkened WhatsApp's green and lightened the words on it to match — 2.2:1, measured, where the pair you are shown on the settings screen is 11:1. Solid, pill and square buttons now ask our Dark Mode (1.3.8 or later) to leave them exactly as designed. Outline and soft buttons are written so the engine can re-colour them with the page instead of losing their fill, which is what happened to a soft button, and to an outline button the moment a pointer touched it.
  • Improved Makes room for a cookie banner. The share bar's share of the foot of the window now counts a consent banner too, so a corner button stands above both rather than under one.

  • Fixed A wp-admin that would not load when our licence server could not be reached. Each of our plugins checked for its own updates, and if the server was unreachable each one waited out its own fifteen-second timeout — so a site with several of them could spend minutes on a single admin page, twice a day, for something entirely outside its control. The first one to find the server unreachable now says so for the whole site, and the others stand down until it is worth trying again. Measured on a site with fifteen installed: fifteen waits became one.

  • Fixed A save message was registered for a screen that does not exist. Harmless, and it meant a translated sentence shipped that nothing could ever show.

  • Fixed A setting that is waiting on another one is readable again. A field held back until you switch something else on is dimmed, so it does not look identical to one you simply have not used — but it was dimmed so far that its label and explanation fell below the contrast a person with ordinary eyesight needs. Measured on the rendered screen at 2.55:1 against the 4.5:1 minimum, and now 4.75:1 and 5.02:1. The greying, the sunken background and the blocked cursor carry the rest of the signal.

  • Fixed A site deleted from a network no longer leaves its tables behind. WordPress asks every plugin for the tables it owns when a site is removed, and this one never answered, so its share counts stayed in the database for ever with nothing left to say which site it had belonged to. On a network that creates and removes sites regularly that is thousands of orphan tables and a database that stops fitting in its backup window. Deleting a site now takes its share counts with it.

  • Improved The help text under each setting can be read at a glance. A settings screen is scanned, not read, and several notes here had grown into paragraphs. They say the same thing in a line or two, in Spanish and French as well as English.

  • Fixed The Export and Import buttons had no icons. Both asked for a mark the plugin did not carry, so both drew nothing at all under a heading that had one.

  • New The Licence screen now shows which sites are using your key. "You have used all your activations" used to leave you to work out which sites those were, in your account, on another tab. Every site on the licence is listed now — the date it was added, when it last checked in, and a Free button beside it — so you can let go of a site you no longer run and put this one on without leaving the page. "Last seen" is the column that decides it: a copy that stopped checking in months ago is the one to free. The list appears on a refused activation too, directly under the key you just typed, with the same buttons. Local and staging copies are listed as well, marked free, so the count adds up.
  • Improved Updates follow the activation, not just the key. Freeing a site now really does free it: that site is still told when a new version exists, but it is not handed the download, and its own Licence screen says plainly that it is no longer on the licence and offers to activate again.
  • Fixed Two things on the Licence screen were never translated — the screen's own heading, and the "2 of 3" activation count. Both read in your language now.

  • New Move your settings to another site. Placement → Import / Export writes a small .json file with the networks, the design, the placement and the rules in it, and reads one back on your next site — so a plugin set up on staging does not have to be set up again from a screenshot. Settings only: no share counts and no licence key. Rules that name a particular page, post or category travel as numbers that mean something else on another site, so those are left as they were and the message says which; a file re-imported into the site that made it keeps everything. An imported value goes through the same checks as a typed one, so a hand-edited file cannot put anything into your settings that a screen would have refused.

  • Improved Plainer words on every screen, after somebody who runs a shop and has never written code read the whole plugin and said what they could not follow.
  • Fixed A warning named two things that do not exist. It pointed at "Display Rules" and "content types"; the tab is Display and the panel is Display on.
  • Fixed The Pinterest setting offered an escape hatch nobody could use. "Add nopin to an image" now says where: select the image, open Advanced, and add nopin under Additional CSS class(es).

  • Fixed A shop whose product pages showed no buttons is now told why. On a theme built out of blocks, a product page does not run its description through the content, so "Above content" and "Below content" never reach it: a shop that had ticked Products under Display on saw nothing on any product page, with nothing anywhere to explain it. The Positions screen now says so where the ticks are, and names the three ways to fix it — the product summary, the floating rail or the pinned bar.
  • Improved The warning appears only where it is true. A classic theme does run the description through the content, and the floating rail and the pinned bar reach a product page on any theme, so a shop with either of those ticked is left alone.

  • Fixed Tabbing onto a "Remove" or "Undo" link showed the wrong ring, or none. Those quiet link-shaped buttons in a table row are WordPress's own kind, and WordPress rings them in its blue with a rule stronger than the one this plugin writes — strong enough that it also cancelled the ring the plugin draws. Somebody working down a screen with the keyboard either saw a colour that belongs to no part of this plugin, or lost sight of where they were altogether. They now wear the same ring as every other control here.

1.4.33

  • New Segment, a new button style. The buttons are joined edge to edge into one strip, divided by hairlines and rounded only at the two ends, with no fill until a button is pointed at. It is the quiet option for a page that already has plenty going on: one object under the article instead of six coloured blocks. Down the side of the page it becomes a single joined column, and pinned to the bottom it is one segmented bar. A strip cannot wrap the way the other styles do, so if you pick more networks than the column is wide it scrolls sideways rather than squeezing the marks.
  • New Stack, a new button style. Each network is a coloured tile with its name underneath, the way a phone's own share sheet is laid out. The only thing printed on a brand colour is the mark; the names are your theme's own text, so they are as readable as the rest of the page. Stack always shows names — it is the one style that does — so the Show network names menu is greyed while it is chosen, as it already was for Square. A share count would be a third line under the name rather than a word beside it, so in Stack it shows in the flow of the post and not in the rail or the pinned bar, whose height the page is told before anything is drawn.
  • Fixed One window width got half a phone's layout. At exactly 600 pixels wide the buttons dropped their names, which is what they do on a phone, while the bar across the foot of the page kept its desktop layout, which is what it does on a desktop. Both now change at the same width.
  • Improved The heading above the buttons is readable on every theme. It was drawn at 65% of whatever colour your theme uses for text, which is fine on a theme with near-black body text and not on the many that use grey: over #444 it measured 3.77:1 and over #666 2.85:1, against the 4.5:1 the accessibility standard asks for. It is now drawn in your theme's text colour at full strength, and stands apart from the body by its capitals, spacing and weight instead. Its size is set outright too: it used to work out to 11.5px, and 10.7px at the Small size.
  • Improved A share count on a button can be read. The number was drawn at 70% of the label's colour, which on Facebook's blue is 3.39:1 where the label beside it is 4.71:1. It now uses the label's own colour, with the short rule before it doing the separating.
  • Improved The pinned bar looks like a share bar on a wide screen. Across a 1280px window its six buttons were stretched to 203px each, which reads as a banner across the footer. Each button is now as wide as its own name and the row sits in the middle. On a phone they still spread across the whole width, where every pixel is worth having.
  • Improved The pinned bar copes with a long list of networks. With fourteen networks on a 320px phone each button was squeezed to 14px around a 20px mark, so the marks overlapped and were cut off; on a tablet the same list left "F…" under the Facebook mark. No button is now squeezed at all — each keeps the width its own name needs and the bar scrolls sideways instead. It stays one row high, which is the height it tells the rest of the page it takes.
  • Improved The pinned bar's top edge can be seen. It was a black wash at 1.11:1 against a white page — invisible, on a bar that is itself 96% white over your content. It is now a measured 3.2:1 and reads on a light page and on a dark one.
  • Improved Circular corners and the Square style stay circular and square in the pinned bar. They were stretched to 53px wide by 40px tall, which is neither.
  • Improved The style picker on the Networks screen draws two buttons per card instead of one, with a line under each saying what the style looks like. A single button could not show a style whose point is how the buttons join up, and the style's name was printed twice on every card.
  • Improved Spacing above and below the buttons, and between them, is on a regular rhythm: 24px and 32px where it was 26px and 30px, and gaps of 8px and 12px where they were 6px and 10px. Button heights, type sizes and the padding inside a button are untouched, so no style changes shape.
  • Fixed On a right-to-left site the heading no longer goes one way and the buttons the other. With the alignment set to Right the buttons went to one edge of the page and their heading to the opposite one. Both now follow the direction the page is read in.

  • Fixed Every button can now be read, in every style. The labels were white on every network's colour, and white on WhatsApp green is barely visible; Telegram, Reddit, Bluesky, Facebook and Mastodon also fell short of the accessibility standard (WCAG AA). Outline, Soft and Minimal had the same problem with the colour written on the page. WhatsApp, Telegram, Reddit and Bluesky now have dark labels, Facebook and Mastodon keep white ones on a very slightly deeper blue and purple, and the lighter styles use a deeper shade of each colour where it was too pale. A custom colour is handled the same way.
  • Fixed Keyboard users can see which button they are on. The focus ring was drawn in the label's colour, which on the filled styles is white, so on a white page there was no ring at all. It is now dark with a white edge, and shows on light and dark pages.
  • Fixed On phones, the pinned bar no longer sits under the corner buttons of our other plugins. Tapping the first or last share button could open Lucky Wheel or switch on Dark Mode instead. The bar now tells the page how much room it takes, and those buttons move up above it once their own updates are installed. A new Distance from the bottom (px) setting under Display raises the bar above a theme's sticky footer or a chat button.
  • Fixed The pinned bar no longer turns dark when a visitor's phone is in dark mode. It stays light, which is what the buttons' colours are made for; on the dark bar, Outline, Soft and Minimal drew black marks on black.
  • Fixed The floating rail no longer covers product photos or wide images. On themes that take the content close to the edge of the window, it now steps aside while something passes underneath it and comes back once it has gone.
  • Fixed Mastodon: readers can change their server. The question came with "mastodon.social" already typed in, and pressing OK saved it for good, so a reader on another server could never share there again. The example is now in the question, the server given last time is ready in the box to keep or change, and a typing mistake gets a short explanation and the question again instead of doing nothing.
  • Fixed WPML and Polylang can translate the heading, the copy confirmation and the X username you type on the Networks screen, and each reader sees their own language. Hide share buttons on this post now carries over to a post's translations.
  • Improved The Networks screen is easier to use without a mouse. The hint no longer says to drag, which never worked; the arrows are always shown (they only appeared on hover, so a tablet had none); each arrow names its network; the arrow you press keeps the focus, and screen readers hear the new position. A style card with keyboard focus now shows a ring.
  • Improved Admin screens are easier to read: faint help text and switched-off toggles now meet WCAG AA contrast.
  • Improved The Dashboard says where the buttons are.   • Fixed On category, tag and author archives the buttons used the wrong post. They shared, counted and hid themselves against whichever post happened to have the same ID number as the category, so one post's "Hide share buttons on this post" could empty a whole archive. The floating rail and pinned bar now share the archive itself, and the row under each post in the list shares that post — Copy link, More and Mastodon included, which used to share the page's address.

  • Fixed The heading can now be removed, with a new switch, "Show a heading above the buttons". Emptying the field brought "Share this" straight back. Saving any of the plugin's screens also froze the default heading and "Link copied" in the language of whoever pressed Save, so a Spanish site with an English-speaking admin showed its readers "Share this" instead of "Comparte esto". Wording frozen that way follows your site's language again; words you typed yourself are kept.
  • Fixed The Networks screen's preview and its reorder arrows work after moving between tabs and after saving. Arriving from the Dashboard left the preview empty and the arrows did nothing, so the order of the networks could not be changed.
  • Fixed Email, Copy link, Print and More are now translated on the buttons, on the Networks screen and on the Dashboard, and screen readers hear "Share by email" rather than "Share on Email".
  • Fixed The theme template call on the Display screen now brings the buttons' styles and script with it, and no longer stops the site with an error if the plugin is deactivated.   • Fixed six settings on the Display screen were thrown away every time you saved.   • Fixed Devices did nothing even once it saved. The rule was worked out and never reached the buttons, so a rail set to mobile only stayed on desktop too.
  • Improved Common exclusions offers the basket, the checkout and the account pages. Those three are ordinary WordPress pages, so ticking Pages reached all three with no tidy way to say no. There is still nothing to tick on the show side: buttons attach to a piece of content, and there is no article on a checkout to share.
  • Fixed A place could be chosen and ruled out at the same time when the choice came from a preset. "The front page only" left the front page tickable under Quick exclude, which is a rule that cancels itself. The preset now greys out the places it chose, and the setting is refused on save even if the form says otherwise.
  • Fixed A place ticked under Quick exclude could not be unticked. It was written into the field below it as well, and that field posted it straight back on the next save. Named places belong to the ticks now, and individual pages and categories to the field, so nothing is written down twice.
  • Improved User roles appears once Signed in is ticked, rather than sitting there inviting a rule that can never match: a role is something only a signed-in visitor has.

  • Fixed the buttons could be switched off with no way to switch them back on.
