Updated Dark Mode 1.8.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Custom CSS — extra rules, applied only when a page is dark and added last so they win. For the one thing on your site dark mode cannot work out on its own.

Usage statistics — two numbers a day: dark and light. No addresses, no pages, no identifiers, no cookie of ours, and nothing leaves your database. Sixty days are kept. Off until you switch it on.

So that the figure is a real one, a single address can count sixty presses a minute and no more. The counter behind that limit is named after a one-way hash of the address, holds a number and nothing else, and is gone a minute later. The address itself is never written down.

Delete all data on uninstall — off by default, so deleting the plugin never destroys your settings by accident. Deactivating never deletes anything either way; it does ask your page cache to empty, so cached pages lose dark mode too (see Caching). With it on, the settings, the usage figures, every signed-in visitor's saved choice and every per-page setting go with it.

Still stuck? Ask the developers who wrote it. We aim to reply within one business day.
