Display Rules

Updated Dark Mode 1.8.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Everywhere by default. Narrow it if part of the site should stay as it is — a checkout, a page built around a video, a landing page whose colours are the point.

A page left out has no switch and no dark mode: a reader who turned it on elsewhere finds this page still light.

There is no schedule on this screen. To make pages dark at night, use General → Automatic Switching, which works on each visitor's own clock. A Display Rules schedule saved before version 1.2.14 is still honoured and still shown, with a note, so you can set it back to Always; outside its window it hides dark mode and the button, and because that is decided on the server, a page cache can serve the wrong answer until the cached page expires.
