Getting started

Updated Bulk Editor 1.7.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Bulk Editor adds a Bulk Editor menu with four editors — Products, Orders, Coupons, Reviews — and a Settings screen. Each editor is a spreadsheet: a page of records as rows, fields as columns.

  1. Open an editor. The first page loads with the default columns. On a shop that installed Bulk Editor at 1.0.48 or later, Products starts on ID, Parent, Name and Type plus image, SKU, regular and sale price, stock, stock status, status and categories; add the rest in Display. Shops that had the plugin before keep every column.
  2. Use Filters to narrow the list, Display to choose columns and rows per page, and the arrow button in a column's heading to sort the whole list by that column.
  3. Click a cell to select it, type to replace its value, double-click to edit in place. Rich cells (images, descriptions, categories, attributes…) open their own editor.
  4. Select several cells in a column (press the column's heading, beside its arrow button, to select all of them on the page), then press Bulk tools in the toolbar or right-click for bulk tools.
  5. Click Save changes. Cells you have changed are tinted until you save, and only those cells are sent, in batches, through WooCommerce — the rest of the row is left exactly as it is stored.
  6. To add a record, press Add product or Add coupon in the toolbar: a new draft appears at the top of the grid (a product asks for its name first, and a coupon gets a new code). Add order opens WooCommerce's new order screen in a new tab. Reviews come from customers, so that editor has no such button.

Every save creates a history point. The message that confirms a save has an Undo button; open History in the drawer to inspect and revert older saves.
