Moving your settings to another site
Settings → Import / Export.
Set the plugin up once and take that to your other sites instead of doing it all again from a screenshot. Export settings gives you a small .json file; Import settings on the other site reads it.
It carries settings and nothing else: no cached pages, no statistics, no Clearing Log and no licence key. Nothing in it names this site's address or its folders. The cache folder, advanced-cache.php and the line in wp-config.php belong to the site, and the plugin sets them up there itself. The file is plain text and you can open it.
Two things do not travel to another site. Whether caching is switched on stays as it is on the site you import into, so a file from a staging site where caching is off does not switch it off on the live one. And the pages, posts and categories chosen by name on the Rules screen are named by their number, and the page that is number 412 here is something else on the other site, so those lists are left as they were. The message after the import says so. A file re-imported into the site that made it keeps everything.
Importing works like saving the Rules screen. Every value is checked the way a save checks it, so a hand-edited file cannot bring an address on another site, a word where a number belongs, or anything that is not a setting. The fast path's own copy of the settings is rewritten, and the cache is emptied so every page is built under the new rules. The Clearing Log lists that as Settings imported.
