  1. How do I know it is actually working?The Dashboard answers this at the top.
  2. The dashboard says only a few pages are cachedLook at the Pages Not Stored panel on the Dashboard.
  3. The dashboard says caching is not running yetNothing is cached until both halves of the fast path are in place: wp-content/advanced-cache.php, and WP_CACHE in wp-config.php.
  4. Another caching plugin owns advanced-cache.phpOnly one plugin can own that file, and we will not overwrite somebody else's — two page caches on one site is how a shop ends up showing the wrong prices.
  5. My changes are not showingFirst: are you signed in?
  6. Does it work with Cloudflare, or my host's own cache?Yes.
  7. Why does my cache keep emptying?Open the Dashboard and look at the Clearing Log panel.
  8. Does it work with WooCommerce?Yes, and carefully.
  9. Does it work with Easy Digital Downloads?Yes.
  10. Do I need Redis or Memcached?No.
  11. Do I need WP-CLI or SSH for NimbleCache?No.
  12. Why is my search page not cached?Because every search is different, so caching them fills the disk with pages nobody asks for twice.
  13. Why is a page with a query string still cached?Because it should be.
  14. A page needs to never be cachedRules → Excluded URLs.
  15. Can I choose which pages get cached?Yes — Rules → Cache on.
  16. Can I stop the cache filling my disk?Yes — Settings → Maximum cache size.
  17. Will warming pages up overload my hosting?No, and you do not have to work out the right rate yourself.
  18. Where does the warm-up list come from?Your sitemap, when you have one — wp-sitemap.xml from WordPress itself, or sitemap_index.xml from Yoast or Rank Math, or a plain sitemap.xml.
  19. Can pages open the moment somebody clicks?Yes.
  20. Does it minify CSS or JavaScript?No, deliberately.
  21. Will it slow down my admin?No.
  22. Does it record anything about visitors?No.
  23. What happens when I deactivate it?The drop-in is removed, WP_CACHE comes back out of wp-config.php and the cache is cleared.
  24. Does an expired licence stop it working?No.
  25. Why does the page not reload when I save?Because it does not need to.
  26. The confirmation message disappears too quicklyHover it and it stays; select it and it goes.
  27. Can I copy my settings to another site?Yes.
  28. Does it work on a multisite network?Yes.
  29. Does it work with WPML or Polylang on separate domains?Yes.
  30. Can I start preloading straight away?Yes.
  31. I have used all my activations. Which sites are they?The plugin's Licence screen lists them.
  32. What happens to a site I free?Its copy of the plugin keeps working exactly as it is.
  33. The licence screen says "Not activated on this site"Your key is fine — this site simply is not one of the sites using it.
