Speed and caching
The bar adds one small stylesheet and one small script, and only on pages where it can actually appear. There is no third-party request unless you choose a Google font, and no tracking of any kind.
On a cached site the bar is rendered into the cached page like any other markup, and then updated in the browser as soon as the basket changes — through WooCommerce's own cart refresh for the classic cart, and through the Store API for the block cart and checkout.
