Export and import
Tools → Maintenance → Export and Import copies your set-up to another site without copying the database. Export downloads one file holding every schema — its title, status, priority, rules and fields — and the site settings. On the other site, choose that file under File to import and press Import.
Imported schemas are added beside the ones already there, active or draft as they were exported; nothing is replaced or deleted. Tick Also import the site settings to bring Site Identity, the output options and the Integrations choices across too. That includes the organisation details, the return policy and the shipping policy's rows; the note that your shipping zones changed since you filled the rows in is only kept when the file comes from the same site. An organisation detail the other site left empty is emptied here too, so you get that site's organisation and not a mix of the two. A file made before a setting existed leaves this site's value of it as it is. Per-post overrides are not included, and neither is what authors typed on their profiles (their job titles and links), which belongs to each user, not to the site's set-up.
A rule naming one post or term (A specific post or page, A specific category, tag or term) is matched on the new site by what it names, not by its ID, which there belongs to something else or to nothing. A post is found by its post type and slug, then by its post type and exact title; a term by its taxonomy and slug, then by its exact name. It is taken only when exactly one matches. Imported back into the site it came from, the rule keeps its ID.
A rule whose post or term cannot be found is still imported, but switched off, so the schema never lands on the wrong page. The notice after the import lists each one with its schema, and in the schema the rule shows the name it had, marked Not found on this site. Click into the box to search for the right post or term and pick it, or remove the rule. Saving the schema without picking one reports the rule and drops it. Files exported before 1.8.30 carry only the IDs, so every such rule in them is switched off; export again from the old site to have them matched.
