Working with an SEO plugin

Most sites already run Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, All in One SEO or The SEO Framework, and those plugins output structured data of their own. Two copies of the same markup on one page is worse than one.

Schema Pro detects them automatically and stands down for the parts they already cover — site identity, breadcrumbs and the sitelinks search box. You do not need to configure anything; Tools → Other schema plugins shows which plugin is handling what.

Two settings are available there if the defaults are not what you want:

  • Output these anyway — use ours instead. Only tick this once you have turned the same markup off in the other plugin.
  • Also let them handle Article and Web Page markup — off by default, because the schemas you configure here usually carry more detail than an SEO plugin's. Turn it on if you see two Article blocks on a post.

To check, view a post's source and search for application/ld+json. One block from each plugin is normal; the same @type appearing twice is not.
