Moving your settings to another site

Updated Help Centre 1.12.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Settings → Import / Export.

Set the plugin up once and take that to your other sites instead of doing it all again from a screenshot. Export settings gives you a small .json file; Import settings on the other site reads it.

It carries settings and nothing else: no articles, no FAQs, no requests, no saved replies and no licence key. The file is plain text and you can open it.

Three things do not travel: the pages holding [trasl_help_centre] and [trasl_my_tickets], and who answers each topic. Pages, topics and people are named by their numbers, and the page that is number 412 here, or the person who is user 7, is someone else on the other site — so those are left as they were rather than pointed at whatever holds those numbers there. The message after the import says so, and you choose them again. A file re-imported into the site that made it keeps everything.

An imported value goes through exactly the same checks as one you typed into the form, so a hand-edited file cannot put anything into your settings that a screen would have refused.
