Table of contents

Built from the article's own h2 and h3 headings, with anchors added automatically — you do not need to write them. It only appears when there are at least three headings, because a list of two is not a table of contents.

If another table of contents is already on the article, this one is left out, so an article never shows two. That covers our own Table of Contents plugin, Easy Table of Contents, Rank Math, Yoast SEO, LuckyWP, Table of Contents Plus and the block editor's own block. Headings inside a menu or another contents list are never counted as the article's. A developer can decide for themselves with the trhc_show_toc filter.

The front page is not an article, and our Table of Contents plugin (1.3.8 and later) leaves it alone, along with the contact form and a support request. It used to draw its card inside the first topic.
