Turning them off for one post

To keep Social Share Buttons off one post, open it and tick Hide share buttons on this post in the Share buttons box in the editor's sidebar. Every other post keeps its buttons.

Where that post appears in a list on an archive, its own row of buttons is left out too. The setting follows translations: a translation that has no setting of its own uses the original's, and you can untick it on one translation to show the buttons there only.

For more than one post, the Display screen has a setting for each size of job:

• A whole kind of content: untick it under Display on. Only Posts is ticked to begin with; Pages, Products and post types of your own are in the same list.
• A category, or several posts: add them under Exclude. A category covers every post filed under it, and its archive. Type a name and pick it; there are no IDs to look up.
• The cart, checkout and account pages: tick them under Common exclusions.
• A group of addresses: list paths under Excluded addresses, one per line, with standing for anything, such as /account/.

Exclude always wins over the other rules.
