The update page is switched off, but updates still show it

Updated Coming Soon and Maintenance Mode 1.12.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

The panel says wp-content/maintenance.php could not be changed. The plugin wrote that file while it was allowed to, and since then the host has stopped WordPress changing wp-content, so switching off could not remove it. Delete wp-content/maintenance.php by hand (with your host's file manager or FTP), or ask your host to let WordPress write to wp-content again and press Save changes on the Settings screen: the plugin then removes the file itself.
