Answer

Does it work with WPML or Polylang?

Updated Countdown Timer 1.12.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Yes. The labels and messages the plugin writes follow the shopper's language, and so do the default heading and message. Headings, messages and link text you type yourself, and the cart timer's wording, appear in WPML's String Translation and Polylang's Strings translations once saved, to be translated per language. Keep {day} in a cut-off heading's translation: the day it becomes is written in the shopper's language. A campaign on particular products or categories covers their translations too, as long as you choose the originals.
