Answer

Why did a winner get no expiry reminder?

Updated Lucky Wheel 1.12.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Check these in order:

  1. Remind winners before their code expires was on when they won, and is still on. Codes won before it was switched on get none.
  2. The code expires, and lasts longer than Days before the last day, since a reminder never falls on the day of the win. A 1-day or 2-day code with 2-day reminders is too short; Settings says so under the reminder's fields for the codes from Coupon Defaults.
  3. Where the form shows a consent tick box, they ticked it.
  4. The code is unused, still published (not in the Bin) and not yet expired when the reminder is due, and was not reminded before.
  5. Their data was not erased with Tools → Erase Personal Data, they were not deleted on the Leads screen, and the code still carries their address, or the lead still has it.
  6. Your site can send email: Send me a test under Settings → Expiry Reminder tells you. The reminder goes out through WooCommerce's scheduled actions (WooCommerce → Status → Scheduled Actions, hook trlw_expiry_email), which run on WordPress's cron. A reminder your site refused twice, an hour apart, shows there as failed, with the reason.
