Answer

Can one page be different from the rest of the site?

Updated Dark Mode 1.8.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

Yes. Every post, page and product has a Dark Mode box in its editor. Choose Open in dark mode for a page meant to be seen dark, or Never dark to leave one page out entirely. Open in dark mode wins over Automatic Switching and the visitor's device setting; a visitor who presses the switch still gets their choice.

It works on your Posts page and on the WooCommerce Shop page too. On a site translated with WPML or Polylang, a translation left on Use the site setting follows the page it translates.

Use that for a single page. For a whole kind of page — every product, every archive, everything under one category — use the Display Rules screen instead.
