The list is in the wrong place in my post
Placement → Where in the post has four positions. The default puts it before the first heading, which means after your opening paragraph — that is right on nearly every post.
If one particular post needs it somewhere specific, switch off automatic placement for that post in its own Table of contents box and use the [toc] shortcode or the block exactly where you want it.
