Answer

A reader's note is not in "What readers said"

Updated Help Centre 1.12.0Tested with WordPress 7.1

A note is kept when the reader's No on that article was counted in the hour before, one note for each vote. So nothing is kept from a reader who had already voted on that article today, from the same internet address as somebody who had, or who sent it more than an hour after voting. A note is not kept either, although the reader is thanked as usual, when it has an email address, a web address that starts with http://, https:// or www., or seven or more digits in a row, even with spaces between them. That is how a phone number looks, and it also catches an order or parcel number that long and a date written as 2026-09-27. An article keeps its 20 newest notes.

On the dashboard, Unhelpful articles lists the eight articles with the most No votes and shows the newest note under each. A note on any other article is in its What readers said box only.
